I'm sitting here today at the computer again. I spent about 4 hours in here last week- I think on Thursday, and am very slow at accomplishing things. As I keep trying to remember how to attach pages (like the resource wiki) to my main website, I find myself getting increasingly frustrated as I keep trying different things and none seem to work. Then, I find one thing that works and that helps a bit, even if it's not quite the way it's supposed to be.
However, it's now been almost 3hrs that I've spent on this today and I don't feel like I've accomplished enough to justify all that time! I still can't remember how to link the new blog , don't know how to cut up my soundtrack, and didn't figure out how to get my resource page on with its picture. At least the information is there. I DID get a new blog made and written on, added a few pictures to the ongoing one, and finished all the annotations for the project pages so I am a bit closer to being done with this project. The only problem I now face is lack of time after getting the help I need. I will be heading back to Oak Ridge in a few minutes to teach 2 piano lessons, then coming back for the final. Immediately after that, I will head to Harriman to sing with their community band in preparation for next week's concert, at which I'm performing with them. Soo... here's hoping I can finish what needs done between 5 and 7 tonight when I get back here!
Signing off for now~

Almost- but not quite
This could be part of my theme song when using digital technology, but all is not lost. I have been working with so many things I've never tried and have learned so much that I am almost amazed at myself! Jeff told us that whether we think we've learned much or not, we will all be surprised to see just how much we've learned. I think I am there. I never would have thought I could make diagrams, find pictures online and use them somewhere else, and least of all make a movie. However, I have accomplished these things and more. I am not as afraid of the technology as I was when I started and I have learned that almost anything can be undone with control or command z!
Anyway, I appreciate the time and patience of my instructor and friends to help me learn and progress in this TPTE journey! It has actually been fun and interesting!

Digital Storyboarding
Last week's class was all about making a digital story. I have never done anything like this and was worried that it might be as difficult as working with the smartboard technology. However, I was pleasantly surprised after I started working with the I movie application. The hardest part of this project for me was coming up with a good choral music idea to use in a story. After I came up with the idea to do a story on solfegge, the ideas started coming. After class Monday night, I knew I had a lot of work to do if this project was going to be finished up by next week.
So, on Wednesday I went in before and after my classes and spent about 4 hours finding and inserting the images I wanted. After Googling how to get a soundtrack from a Youtube video and being successful with that part, I started putting the images and music together. Because I couldn't find enough matching hand symbols I made my own. I did find out that unless you have images set to go through the length of the soundtrack clip, it will cut itself off at the last image. It took me a very long time adjusting clip lengths and transition lengths to make things match up. It was a bit frustrating when I set a length on one picture and one transition to have those reset anytime I adjusted or inserted anything else. So, just setting the length once was not enough, I had to go back time and again to readjust each picture and transition. I was excited about what I had accomplished before I headed home to get ready for the Thanksgiving family crowd! I think all I have left is to figure out how to clip a huge chunk of music out so I can just use the ending, and I know I will get help to finish this!
